Our purpose-built care home is designed with our dementia residents in mind to ensure they are living in a safe and comfortable environment. We have a dedicated and highly-skilled team who have taken part in thorough training to ensure they are comfortable and confident when dealing with all variations of dementia for residents to enjoy a full and meaningful life.

We offer facilities that are inclusive to our dementia residents, and our Activity Coordinators work with other healthcare professionals to develop a programme that benefits them best by incorporating a range of stimulating activities on a regular basis. We have learned first-hand that carrying out activities on a regular basis can improve a person’s cognitive functions, mental stimulation, social skills and overall confidence.

Prior to a resident moving in to Valerian Court Care Home, we conduct consultations involving both the resident and their family to ensure we can cater to their specific needs. We work closely with our residents and their loved ones to understand their daily routines, interests, and preferences, all of which we then incorporate into their care plans. Our approach to care is centered around the individual, striving to help residents maintain their independence and dignity, while also providing them with continuous support.

At Valerican Court Care Home, we implement a wellbeing programme for all residents, encompassing both collective and one-on-one activities and therapies.
