Prior to a resident moving in to Valerian Court Care Home, we conduct consultations involving both the resident and their family to ensure we can cater to their specific needs. We work closely with our residents and their loved ones to understand their daily routines, interests, and preferences, all of which we then incorporate into their care plans. Our approach to care is centred around the individual, striving to help residents maintain their independence and dignity while also providing them with continuous support.

The experts in our dementia care team undergo frequent training to ensure they possess a comprehensive understanding applicable to the many stages of dementia. They excel in supporting our residents with activities, therapies, communication, and personal care. With their skills and proficiency, our dementia team can ensure effective care for our residents with dementia.

At Valerican Court Care Home, we implement a wellbeing programme for all residents, encompassing both collective and one-on-one activities and therapies. For instance, we hold regular arts and crafts sessions, music therapy, reminiscence activities, and more. These activities and therapies are tailored to enrich the physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing of every resident, including those living with dementia.

At Valerian Court Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
