Valerian Court Care Home is a newly-built care home set in the market town of Didcot in Oxfordshire. Our care home offers around-the-clock Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite Care for older people. Valerian Court provides modern accommodation for 68 people and in-house facilities for residents to enjoy on a daily basis.
Our residence is the perfect place to enjoy a vibrant and varied life. All-inclusive facilities include a varied activities programme, hairdressers, beautiful gardens, café, cinema room, and lounges for residents to use as often as possible and at no extra cost.
Valerian Court has an Activities Team that goes above and beyond to provide a variety of activities and events for residents to engage in on a daily basis. Just a few of the activities residents look forward to each week are board games, arts & crafts, quizzes, sing-a-longs, day trips and much more. Our experienced care team takes the time to get to know each and every resident and learn about their likes and dislikes in order to provide a high-quality activities schedule.
Residential Care is available to those who prefer to live in a group setting, rather than on their own. Residents are given around-the-clock support with daily tasks such as mobility, dressing, washing or medication. Residential care is designed to support older people in living independently whilst everyday tasks such as meal prep and chores are taken care of by our team.
Residents who receive residential care will be able to treat Valerian Court as their own home and live each day exactly the way that suits them, pursuing their hobbies and interests under one roof courtesy of our all-inclusive facilities and services.
Our care home in Oxfordshire offers comprehensive nursing care. Nursing care is suited to individuals who need continual medical assistance and personal care. Residents living at our nursing home will receive the greatest standards of person-centred care at all hours of the day and night. our nursing care staff are dedicated to ensuring all care and well-being needs are met within a safe, luxury environment.
Our team of nurses will be able to provide exceptional health care for those with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, long-term health conditions, high dependency needs and palliative care needs. One of our nurses is assigned a resident who will get to know everything there is about a person to ensure they receive complete care.
We are proud to provide specialist dementia care for those living with dementia. Dementia is a cognitive condition that affects a person’s ability to remember, think crucially, rationalise and communicate as they once used to. Residents with dementia can continue to live their lives to the fullest with the correct care and attention from our dementia care team. Each room of our home has been carefully designed to calming atmosphere.
At Valerian Court Care Home, we understand that every person requires a variation of care and support as now two people are the same, and that residents will have a different state of progression. We continue to evaluate our residents needs on a regular basis to ensure accurate care is always being given.
Respite care is offered to those who require short-term care by a team of care professionals. Respite care provides well-deserved breaks for those caring for loved ones on a full-time basis or for those who are recovering from an illness or operation, which enables someone to take time out from their daily lives until they are fully recovered.
This form of care can also be used to trial a care home for a few weeks, which allows prospective residents to get a first-hand glimpse on whether the home is right for them. No matter how long someone requires care for, our residents will receive the highest level of respite care from our loving team.
