Rooftop Garden

Our wonderful rooftop garden is something we take pride in as it gives our residents the opportunity to experience all of the benefits that the outdoors brings. They are able to enjoy the fresh air and move around for some light exercise, sit and relax in comfort or participate in some gardening to bring new additions to the area.

At Valerian Court, we don’t only offer our outdoor spaces to residents. It is available to their loved ones also, making it the perfect opportunity to reunite and catch up or enjoy a delicious meal prepared by our in-house kitchen team.

An Area Fit For All Purposes

Our rooftop garden is an area that can have multiple uses, depending on who is using it at the time. It is the perfect place to incorporate outdoor activities such as light exercise, managing the bird feeders or planting some flower beds. We always encourage residents to make use of our rooftop gardens to reap the rewards it brings. During the summer months, the rooftop garden will be a great location to take indoor activities outside, whether that’s painting, flower arranging or enjoying live entertainment.

Spoilt for Choice With Dining Areas

Throughout the warmer summer months, our rooftop garden and balcony become popular hotspots. We have equipped them with comfortable chairs and tables, making it the perfect area for our residents to enjoy their mealtimes whilst the sun is shining. There is enough room for residents to invite loved ones over to enjoy an afternoon tea or dinner. In the summer we will also hold numerous events in our wonderful outdoor spaces.

Our rooftop garden offers residents the chance to be outdoors, take part in outdoor activities, and enjoy nature. This has numerous mental and physical benefits, such as reducing stress and anxiety, and enhancing mood, cognitive function, cardiovascular health, balance, and muscle strength.

Residents can engage in outdoor activities like walking, gardening, exercise sessions, and reading. In nice weather, they can also have meals with loved ones, take part in outdoor arts & crafts, and enjoy live entertainment.

Certainly, our rooftop garden is designed to accommodate all residents, including those with mobility issues. We’ve ensured the rooftop garden is wheelchair-accessible and seating is available. The rooftop garden is secure and we’ve taken precautions such as providing adequate lighting for safety.
