Celebrating Our Dedicated Team

Back in November, Valerian Court Care Home introduced our Employee of the Month recognition scheme.

It had been wonderful to receive nominations from residents, visitors and colleagues highlighting the individuals who really make a difference by going above and beyond and demonstrating our organisation's core values; kind, passion, trusted, respectful and inclusive.

In November the accolade was awarded to Head Chef, Tammy who is passionate about ensuring the highest standards are consistently met across her department. By happy coincidence or sheer hard work, Valerian Court was awarded a 5 by the Food Standards Agency in November.

December saw our Activities Lead, Sandra receive the recognition. December is a peak activity month in care homes and Sandra certainly used her skills and natural tendency to deliver our values and get everyone in the festive spirit, through a range of festive activities!

In January, Unit Manager, Michael had a number of nominations which identified him consistently demonstrating all five values. It is great to hear the great stories that get submitted about our wonderful team, one of which stuck out about Michael, who had one nomination saying "Nothing is too much trouble" and "[he has an] amazing sense of humour".
