Celebrating Creativity and Community With a Wine and Cheese Afternoon

Residents, families and friends recently came together at Valerian Court for a wonderful wine and cheese afternoon to celebrate both artistic talent and community spirit. The event was held in support of Make-A-Wish UK and brought laughter and creativity while reflecting the warm and welcoming heart of our home.

Guests were treated to a beautiful display of our residents’ Arts and Crafts creations, each piece a testament to the imagination and skill that thrives within our community. From hand-painted canvases to lovingly crafted ornaments, every item told a personal story and showcased the joy our residents find in creative expression.

As guests admired the artwork, the atmosphere was lifted further by a live performance from the talented pianist Ewan Shaw. His elegant playing filled the room with gentle melodies, creating a calming and uplifting backdrop to a truly special afternoon. The conversation and shared pride in our residents’ achievements made for an occasion that was as inspiring as it was enjoyable.

The event also supported Make-A-Wish UK, which is a charity close to our hearts that helps to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses. We are proud that our residents and their families could play a part in supporting such a meaningful cause by combining creativity with compassion in a way that embodies the true spirit of Valerian Court.
