At Valerian Court, our rooftop garden is a unique and much-loved feature of the home, offering breathtaking views, fresh air and movement within a safe and tranquil setting. Whether residents are looking for a peaceful moment of rest or an area to socialise with friends and loved ones, our rooftop garden provides the best of outdoor living without needing to leave their home.

Our rooftop garden is accessible all year round and has parasols and sheltered balconies with roofs at the end of each floor. With doors always open to residents, everyone is free to step outside whenever they wish, entirely at their own pace and preference. Family and friends are always welcome and many special moments are shared over delicious meals prepared by our in-house chefs or with vibrant activities.

Every outdoor space at Valerian Court is designed with accessibility and safety in mind. The rooftop garden and balconies are fully secure, ensuring residents can enjoy the fresh air independently or with support.

At all times, residents are in control of how they spend their days. Team members personally invite each individual when outdoor activities are planned, offering support where it’s needed while respecting personal choice. For residents who are hesitant or unsure, reassurance is provided in a calm and dignified way, never forcing participation but always offering opportunity.

Raised planters make gardening accessible to everyone, including those who use wheelchairs or require seating. When residents grow vegetables, they’re harvested and used by the kitchen team, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to every shared meal and showcasing the real impact of their contributions.

Spoilt for Choice With Dining Areas

Throughout the warmer summer months, our rooftop garden and balcony become popular hotspots. We have equipped them with comfortable chairs and tables, making it the perfect area for our residents to enjoy their mealtimes whilst the sun is shining. There is enough room for residents to invite loved ones over to enjoy an afternoon tea or dinner. In the summer we will also hold numerous events in our wonderful outdoor spaces.

Each month, our residents come together to help shape the calendar and fully build out their own agenda. Activities, events and even small group outings are chosen collectively, ensuring that every offering is purposeful, inclusive, and driven by those who live here.
